Obituary

Zuba Ellen Palmer, 84, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson, KS.  She was born October 7, 1938 in Moore, Oklahoma to Glen Sr. and Velma (Neally) Moler.

On October 3, 1956, Zuba married Arthur E. Palmer.  They shared 45 wonderful years of marriage together before his passing on April 30, 2001. Zuba was a homemaker and thoroughly enjoyed reading books in her spare time. She later went on to enjoy watching television series' like Blue Bloods, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents, Glen Sr. and Velma; two daughters, Laura Palmer-Crouse and Terry Witt; two sons, George "Mike" Palmer and Charles Palmer; two grandsons, Christopher Spivey and Andrew Witt; and 6 siblings.

Zuba is survived by her sons, Glen Palmer and wife Janice, Martin Palmer, and son-in-law, Ralph Crouse; grandchildren, Meeka Palmer-Lummus and husband Robert, Miranda Palmer and husband John Rex, Matthew Crouse and wife Tanya, Krystal Duerksen and husband Derrek, Rachel Palmer, plus 6 more; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Per Zuba's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Westview Baptist Church, 1325 S. Meridian Ave, Wichita, KS 67213, with Pastor Kurtis Haynes officiating. Inurnment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, 900 N. Marquette St., Kingman, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association , and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
