Wilma M. Schumacher, 90, passed away on April 19, 2021 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. She was born January 17, 1931 on a farm in Grainfield, KS., the daughter of Joseph and Amalia (Rohr) Dinkel.

Wilma graduated from Grainfield High School. She worked for USD 308 as a manager in school food service for 30 years. On August 16, 1948, she married Herbert Schumacher in Grainfield, KS. He died on April 17, 2003. Wilma was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church and the Catholic Alter Society.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert, four brothers, Joe, Ben, Rudy and Adolph Dinkel and a granddaughter, Amy Newboles.

Survivors include her five children, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, four step- great grandchildren; one brother Don Dinkel; and three sisters, Millie Baker, JoAnn Zerr and Betty Gagnon.

A private service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 with Father Mike Maybrier officiating. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made to St. Teresa's Catholic Church and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
