Willis H. Hassman, 95, passed away on June 12, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born August 21, 1924, in Groveland, KS., the son of Henry and Mabel (Ball) Hassman.

Willis graduated from Inman High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. On August 20, 1955, Willis married Renee Goertz in Perryton, TX. Willis worked in the service department for Conklin Cars.

Willis is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vonda Byrne, Ilo McKenzie, Glenda Enzs and Leah Joan Dunham; a brother Richard Hassman.

He is survived by his wife, Renee; two sons, Greg (Grace) Hassman and Terry (Roberta) Hassman; one daughter, Debra (Robert Hannan) Hassman; one brother, Howard Hassman; and nine grandchildren, Kristine Patchen, Greg Hassman Jr. Vincent Hassman, Terry Jo Southard, Brandy Cook, Michele Vaughn, Robert Wagner, Brian Butler and Stephanie Ravensten.

A Celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Crossroads Christian Church, 4310 N. Monroe St., Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel and then at 10:00 A.M until service time on Thursday at the church. Memorial Contributions can be made to Hospice House or Crossroads Christian Church and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. 67502.
