William J. Lynch, 81, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS. William was born July 4, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Catherine Lucas. William was united in marriage to Ann on January 14, 1961 in Philadelphia. To this union they were blessed with three children, William Jr., Janet and Paul. William graduated from Millington Central High School in Millington, TN and attended Temple University in Philadelphia. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on July 9, 1956 and was honorably discharged on July 8, 1960. He was a sheet metal worker, Local # 19 and retired after 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a ham radio operator. He was preceded in death by his mother. William is survived by his wife, Ann; children, William J. Lynch Jr., Janet A. Lynch and Paul R. Lynch; brothers, Joseph and Charles Lynch; a sister, Cathy Lucas and grandchildren, Rachel and Eric Lynch. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th St., Hutchinson, KS, with Father Mike Maybrier officiating. There will be no public visitation. Burial will take place in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to service.
