Willa Corine (Allphin) Spence, 92, died on April 30, 2018 at Hester Care in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was born on November 29, 1925 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Russel S. and Edna M. (Hill) Allphin.

On November 23, 1946 she married Willis "Keith" Spence in Arlington, Kansas. He preceded her in death.

For many years, Willa and her husband owned and operated the locker plant in Arlington.

She held a membership with the First United Methodist Church of Arlington.
Willa was always very active in her daily activities. You could find her volunteering around town in a variety of areas, but especially at the public library. Willa was an avid reader and would make sure to check out new books while she was volunteering.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her spouse and two brothers, Guy M. Allphin and Don J. Allphin.

Survivors include her two children, David Keith Spence, Houston, TX and Kathy Dian (George) Gregg, Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Dustin (Christiana) Gregg of Manassas, Virginia and Ryan (Kandi) Gregg of Hutchinson and their two children, Dylan and Kolan.

Cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time.

Friends may sign the register book Tuesday, May 1, 2018 to Friday, May 5, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
