Terry L. Starks, 59, died on October 10, 2020 at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS. He was born July 10, 1961 in Hutchinson, the son of Wesley and Dorothy (Black) Starks. On June 10, 2000, Terry married Connie Sue Parks in Great Bend, KS. She died on December 22, 2012. Terry was a certified welder and worked on stainless steel for hospitals and helped build the 7th and 8th grade buildings in Hutchinson. Terry loved to fish, ride motorcycles, bow hunting, 4-wheeling and he loved the Kansas City CHIEFS. He enjoyed raising turkeys and growing peppers in his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie; his father, Wesley; a sister, Robin Starks and a great granddaughter, Emryss Rose Starks. Terry is survived by his mother and step-father Dorothy and Bob Wilhite; daughters, Jennifer (Julian) Starks of Independence, MO. and Victoria (Justin) Reta of Hutchinson, KS.; brother, Billy Joe (Viola) Starks of Hutchinson, KS., half-brother, Kelly (Melissa) Starks of Austin, TX.; a step-brothers, Chris (Kathy) Wilhite of Park City, KS. and Donnie (Suzy) Martin of Burrton, Ks.; step-sister, Tonya (Derrick) Wilhite of Haven, KS. and grandchildren, Doshja Starks and Leon Guereca. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, KS, with Pastor Judd Hornbaker officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with family greeting guests from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to Terry L. Starks Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
