Samuel R. Bivins, 68, of Hutchinson, died May 15, 2019, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Samuel was born September 29, 1950, in DeQueen, Arkansas, the son of Johnny and Ruby (Rogers) Bivins.

In 1966, Samuel enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After serving in the Army, Samuel worked at Red River Army Depot.

On December 16, 1986 he married Nancy Smith in DeQueen, Arkansas.

Samuel is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Joanna Bivins.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; children, Needia Faulkner, Lisa Marie Chronister, Betty Jo Talley, and Mercedes Malloy; grandchildren, Samantha Talley, Kayla Talley, Stormie Malloy, and Zachary Talley; great grandchildren, Kallie Seck and Daniel Robert Malloy; sisters, Anita Bivins, Dena Bivins and Twila Bivins; brothers, Donnie Bivins, Randy Bivins and Danny Bivins.

There will be no public visitation as cremation was chosen.

An inurnment will be held at a later date.
