Rosemary K. Brown, 80, died on January 9, 2019 in Hutchinson, KS. She was born on August 6, 1938 in Riverside, CA., the daughter of Major & Estelle (Veith) Nickens. On December 26, 1953 she married John Melvin Brown in Gardena, CA. Rosemary was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, reading, putting together puzzles and playing her mother's organ. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband John and sisters Susan Brown and Shirley Weber. Survivors include her seven children, Mary Kay (Paul) Allsman, David (Susan) Brown, Daniel (Patsy) Brown, Patricia (Michael) Tharp, Gary Brown, Michael (Penny) Brown and Cindy (David) Charles; 64 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. There will be no visitation as cremation was chosen. A memorial services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Tim Hurst officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Rosemary Brown Memorial Fund in care of the funeral chapel.
