Roger Paul Hodgson, 80, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson, KS.  He was born April 7, 1943, Lyons, KS to Paul C. and Bernice E. (Wolfe) Hodgson.

Roger attended Sterling High School and graduated in 1961.  On January 13, 1970, he married Charlotte Kay "Katie" McAnally and she passed away in 2015.  In 1964, Roger enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1968.  He worked for Dillon's Warehouse in maintenance and retired after 32 years.

Roger is also preceded by his parents, Paul and Bernice Hodgson; step-mother, Ruby Mellies Hodgson; stepdaughter, Michelle Dick; stepson, Michael Cox; sisters, Sharon Hildreth, Jan McMurphy, and Marilyn "Corky" Gooch; stepbrother, Craig Mellies and stepsister, Gloria Dill.

He is survived by his daughter, Hope (Troy) Selby; stepsister, Sylvia (Craig) Wagerle; grandchildren, Jacob Dick, Natalie Dick and Matt Selby; great granddaughter, Islani Villa; stepbrother-in-law, Robert Dill, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside inurnment will be held at 10:00 A.M. on July 15, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th St., Hutchinson, KS 67502. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hutchinson Animal Shelter, and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
