Roberta B. Shogren, 93, passed away on July 22, 2023 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler, KS.  She was born November 29, 1929 in Ralston, OK, the daughter of Bob and Harriett Bell.  Roberta married Dennis E. Shogren on August 26, 1948 in Emporia, KS. They were married 64 years before he passed away in 2012.  Roberta graduated from Emporia High School and attended Emporia State University.  She enjoyed spending her free time golfing, playing tennis and playing bridge.  She was a world class bridge player, attending and playing bridge all over the world.  Roberta was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

Survivors include her nephews, Stephen (Stormy) Shogren, Richard (Marilyn) Shogren and Evan (Sharon) Lindquist; niece, Katherine Shogren; and special friends, Gene and Pat Buxton and Wayne McMurray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson, with Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating.
