Robert "Bob" E. Seymour died on Jan. 12, 2018 at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 30th, 1947 to Walter Sherman and Ethel Lorraine (Towne) Seymour in El Dorado, KS.

Bob was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Army

He graduated from Hutchinson Community College on Dec. 17, 1992 with an Associate of Applied Science in the Criminal Justice Administration degree. He then graduated from Friends University with his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice on May 9, 1999. On May 12th, 2001 he completed his Master of Human Resource Development and Organizational Development.

Bob was employed for 18 years with the Kansas Department of Corrections as a counselor and guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, John Seymour, Marilyn McCartney and Patricia Mitchell.

Survivors include his two children, Michelle "Lori" (Joe) Schmidt and Raymond Seymour; three grandchildren, Thomas (Diamond) Schmidt, Jordon Schmidt and Vann Seymour; one great grandchild, Arabella; one niece and two nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family greeting from 2:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.

Graveside services will follow on the same day at the Hoisington Cemetery, Hoisington, KS beginning at 2:00 p.m.
