Richard Dean Brown, 76, of Hutchinson, passed away on April 3, 2020 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born December 4, 1943, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Homer F. and Edith M. (Corbet) Brown. Richard attended Pratt High School. On July 3, 1984 he married Lynn Smith in Pratt, KS. Richard was a man of many trades. He was best known for working as an engineer for the railroad. He also enjoyed metal work and pin striping street rods. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; daughters, Kimberly Monnier and step-children, Lori (Cory) Hughes and Krista Wilson; a brother, Robert F. Brown, a grandson Brent Shultz, step –grandchildren, Samantha Hughes, Timothy Hughes, Madalynn Wilson and Taye Wilson and nephews, Scott Brown and Todd Brown. There will not be a public visitation as cremation has taken place. A celebration of Richard's life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donors choice and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
