Rebecca Jane Rue, 57, of Hutchinson KS passed away on May 23, 2026, at her home.  Rebecca was born on October 11, 1968, in Boise, ID, the daughter of Chester and Patsy (Cupp) Owens.

On May 22, 1993, Rebecca married James Rue Sr, in Hutchinson, KS.  Family was the center of her life. She loved spending time with them, and they did everything together, creating countless cherished memories filled with laughter and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Mark Owens, Paul Ownes, Chester J. Owens Jr., Gary Owens, and Felix L. Owens.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, James Rue Sr.; children, James Rue (Santana) Jr., David E. Rue, Mark (Rosa) Rue, Patricia Seaton, Matthew (Logan) Rue, Crystal (Aaron) Rue; sister, Brenda (Jim) Ruthford; brother, Bobby Owens; 25 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS with Rev. Charles Crumble Sr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, KS.
