Raymond "Ray" Kauffman, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.

Ray was born on June 28, 1939, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of David J. and Elizabeth (Headings) Kauffman. Ray graduated from Haven High School. On January 27, 1961, he married Diane Sutton in Hutchinson, to this union they were blessed with three children, Scott, Kim, and D.J. Ray was owner of Sutton-Kauffman Transmission and retired after 47 years. Ray was a long time member of the Nazarene Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Scott Kauffman; sister, Janice Huyard, and niece, Glenda Darby.

Ray is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Kimberly Diane (Jess) Easdon; son, David Jon (Cheryl) Kauffman, all of Hutchinson; five siblings, Betty Bentch of Holts Summit, MO, Glen (Freda) Kauffman, Willis (Thelma) Kauffman both of South Hutchinson, Barbara (Lee) Hochstetler of Elkhart, IN, Sheryl (Russ) Stucky of Moundridge; seven grandchildren, Colton (Sarah) Easdon, Charlie (Rachel) Easdon, Cyla Easdon, Sam (Sidnee) Kauffman, Lindsey Kauffman, Kaylee Kauffman and Avery Kauffman; three great grandchildren, Abigail and Josiah Easdon and Presslee Kauffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30 ^th Ave., Hutchinson, KS with Reverend Jay Bessmer officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the funeral chapel with family present from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4 ^th Ave, Hutchinson. Memorials may be given to Central Christian School and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
