Ralph Roy Oden, 77, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Diversicare in Hutchinson, KS.

Ralph was born December 23, 1943, in rural Sterling, KS, the son of John and Mable (Dyke) Oden. On September 15, 1977, he married Dixie Groves in Hutchinson, KS.

Ralph attended Sterling High School. He worked for Dillon's Bakery and was an oven operator and retired after 38 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge #982, First United Methodist Church of Sterling and the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union. Ralph had many hobbies and interests. He loved to sew plastic canvas and make canvas blocks for his great grand kids. He enjoyed doing word search puzzles, listening to audio books, feeding the stray cats and scratch off tickets.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Dixie; daughters, Shelley Weishaar and Staci Eikleberry both of Hutchinson, KS; siblings, Donald Oden of Alden, KS, Allene Urich of Hutchinson, KS, Mike (Nancy) Oden of Hutchinson, KS, and Ronald (Deb) Oden of Lyons, KS; grandchildren, Austin (Miranda) Eikleberry, Nicole Tubbs, and Alex Weishaar; great grandchildren, Grayson Tubbs, MaKenna Eikleberry, Audrey Tubbs and Kynzlee Eikleberry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Oden.

Visitation will be held at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
