Peggy B. Winter, 93, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at Sandstone Heights Nursing Home in Little River, KS. Peggy was born December 29, 1928, in Garden City, KS, the daughter of Paul and Myrtle (Ford) Hartley. On March 3, 1947, Peggy married Frederick H. Ferris in Cimarron. He precedes her in death. On October 2, 1979, Peggy married Raymond Winter in Garden City. He precedes her in death. Peggy was a nurse aide at St. Catherine's Hospital in Garden City. She was a gardener and loved her flowers and plants.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frederick Ferris and Raymond Winter; a son, Alan Curtis Ferris, two brothers; one sister; and one grandson.
Peggy is survived by her two children, Ronald (Nancy) Ferris and Linda Setters; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022, at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
