Peggy J. Holoubek, 77, passed away on July 24, 2018 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on July 12, 1941 in Mt. Hope, Kansas the daughter of Paul and Versa (Forward) Owens.
Peggy attended Haven High School.
She was a parishioner of St. Teresa Catholic Church of Hutchinson.
Peggy loved spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her free time she loved reading, socializing with family and friends, arts & crafts, and spending many hours shopping.
She was the former co-owner and operator of the Second Hand Rose Craft and Consignment Shop of Hutchinson, and also worked for many years as a paraprofessional with the Obee and Buhler grade schools.
On May 29, 1965 she married Dick Holoubek in Hutchinson, Kansas. They renewed their vows at St. Teresa Catholic Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents.
Survivors include her loving husband Dick, Hutchinson; five children, Tim (Blythe) Wilkinson, Hutchinson, Victor (Angela) Wilkinson, Hutchinson, Shelly (Brannon) Cole, Inman, Shawna (Darren) Keller, Hutchinson and Angela (Brent) Albright, Wichita; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her dog, Thor; five siblings, Dixie Burch, Branson, MO, Larry (Diane) Owens, Hutchinson, Ruth Strassburg, Hutchinson and Kathy (Jack) Kipp, Hutchinson, Connie (Charles) Uchtman, Marshfield, MO.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at St. Teresa Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary, beginning at 10:30 a.m., Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made in Peggy's honor to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, or St. Teresa Catholic Church in care of the funeral chapel at 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502
