Patricia "Patty" Ann Borchert, 70, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS. She was born November 22, 1952 in Ness City, KS to Glen and Gertrude (Werner) Cavenah.

Patty attended McPherson High School and graduated in 1971. In 1976, she married Russell D. Borchert. They had two children, Adria and Brian. Patty and Russell later divorced. She is a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Hutchinson. She enjoyed spending her time outside, whether it was to garden, swim, or work on her tan. Patty also loved to spend time with her family, and especially her grandchildren. Patty loved taking care of young children and spent many years working at the Hutchinson Children's Emergency Center. She also spent many years working for Hutchinson Hospital and Home Instead Senior Care.

Patty is preceded by her parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Larry, and David Cavenah; and two sisters, Ramona Kincaid and Juanita Cavenah.

She is survived by her daughter, Adria Jackson and her husband, William; son, Brian Borchert; siblings, Charles, Dennis, and Collette Cavenah; her three grandchildren, Jillian Tobin, and Jacob and Rhys Jackson; and multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30 ^th Ave.  Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Rosary to follow at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5 ^th Ave, at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:00am at St. Teresa Catholic Church with Father Aaron Spexarth officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Patty Borchert Memorial Fund , and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
