Nick Lobmeyer Jr., 93, of Hutchinson, formerly of Tribune, KS died on October 4, 2018 at Brookdale A. L. of Hutchinson.
He was born August 8, 1925, at Marienthal, KS to Nicholas and Johanna (Gerstberger) Lobmeyer. He was raised in Kinsley and moved to Tribune in 1945 where he was a lifelong farmer. On October 28, 1947 he married the love of his life Nellie Strecker in Spearville, KS. They moved to Hutchinson in 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie; children; Gerald (Lois Schutte), Arkansas City, Patsy (Dennis Ewy), Kinsley, Harold (Lora Danler), Hutchinson, Steve (Jo Heckert), Tribune, Tammy Praven, Naperville, IL., and Kimberly Shea, Hutchinson; brother, Jim Lobmeyer, Leoti; sister, Marge Exum, Broadhead, WI.; 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Harold; sisters, Marie Murphy, Edith Voth and Jeanne Cardenas; son-in-laws, Gary Daubert and Patrick Shea.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1-5 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
Rosary will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 2631 Independence Rd, Hutchinson, with Father Michael Kerschen presiding.
Burial will follow Mass at the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Kinsley, KS at 3:00 p.m.
