Nellie Lobmeyer, 92, of Hutchinson, formerly of Tribune, KS died on April 30, 2021 at Pleasant Hills of Hutchinson, KS.
She was born April 22, 1929, at Spearville, KS to Ignatius and Nellie (Schulte) Strecker. She was raised in Spearville and moved to Tribune after she married the love of her life Nick Lobmeyer Jr. on October 28, 1947. Nellie was a lifelong homemaker who was known for her love of roses and creating beautiful stained glass.
She is survived by her children; Gerald (Lois), Arkansas City, Patsy (Dennis Ewy), Kinsley, Harold (Lora), Hutchinson, Steve (Jo), Coaldale, CO, Tammy Praven, Naperville, IL., and Kimberly Shea, Hutchinson; sisters, Agnus Stegman, Branson, MO and Louise Littrell, Kinsley; brother, Bill Strecker, Great Bend; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Pauline Burkhart, Mary Hall, Kathryn Lobmeyer; brothers, Ignatius Strecker Jr., Bernard Strecker, and Carl Strecker; sons-in-law, Gary Daubert and Patrick Shea.
Rosary services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., both at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hutchinson, KS; burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Kinsley, KS. Memorials can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tribune, KS, or Serenity Hospice Care, Hutchinson, KS and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.
