Melissa Ann (Sanchez) Garcia, 49, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, after a 4 year battle with cancer.  She was born November 4, 1974, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Jimmy and Linda Mendoza) Sanchez Sr.

Melissa graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1993.  She played the saxophone and participated in the marching bands during her school years.  She enjoyed playing games and spending time with her family.  She loved music, dancing and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Melissa is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Linda.

She is survived by her wife, Holly Hoyle; son's Chase Sanchez and Gabriel Hoyle; sisters, Sonya, Susan, and Denise; and brothers, Jimmy and David.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., February 24, 2024 and Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 a.m., both at New Resurrection Church, 1500 Forrest St. Hutchinson, KS.  Repass to follow at MiTierra, 329 N. Van Buren (the old G.I. Form/Latino Club),  Hutchinson, KS.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Melissa Garcia Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
