Mattie B. Morris, 88, passed from Earth to Heaven, December 17, 2018 at the Hospice House of Hutchinson. She was born on June 3, 1930 in Elaine, AR the daughter of Cal and Katie (Stuckey) Ward.
Mattie graduated from Elaine Industrial High School in Elaine, Arkansas. On June 24, 1948 she married Edward H. Morris in Elaine, AR. They then moved to the Pratt, KS community and lived there from 1948 to 1973. In 1973 she moved to Hutchinson and built her home there.
She has been a long time member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, and was always very active in helping with the church activities.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her spouse, one daughter, Mae Galbreath, her sisters(Martha, Clara, Betty, Artie Mae, and Mary) her brothers (Cal Jr., Eli, Freddy, Joe, and Roy) and one granddaughter, Brittani.
Survivors include her seven children and spouses, son, Chester (Joanne) Morris, Alvin (Kena ) Morris, David Morris, Loretta (Phil) Miller, Christinia (Melvin) Currie, Ted (Conni) Morris, Stanley Morris; two brothers, Ivory Ward and Otha Ward; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery.
