Nickerson – Martin Lee Lansaw, 56, of Nickerson, KS, passed away January 18, 2020, at his home in Nickerson, KS. Martin was born January 22, 1963 in New Orleans, LA, the son of William (Bill) Lansaw and Sondra Kay Valentine. Martin attended Moundridge High School and graduated in 1981. He also attended McPherson Center Central Kansas Area Voc-Tech School where he received his certificate in Vocational Carpentry. He worked as a correctional officer for 29 years. Martin had many hobbies throughout the years. Some of them being karate, fishing, gardening and landscaping, shooting guns and spending time with his grandkids. Martin is preceded in death by his father, William Lansaw. Survivors include his mother, Sondra; his children, Hannah Lansaw of Nickerson, Nathan Lansaw of Burrton, Simeon Lansaw of Burrton, Rachel Anderson of Raymond and adopted son Joey Wilkerson of Hutchinson; brothers, Andy (Jennifer) Lansaw, Brian Lansaw and Stephen Lansaw, a sister Teresa (Robert) Hadley, and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson. Funeral Service will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Crumble Sr. officiating. Memorials may be given to the Martin Lansaw Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
