Martha L. Magers, 85, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS.

Martha was born January 3, 1936, in Westmoreland, KS, the daughter of Charles and Verna (Garrett) Dye. Martha graduated from Mayetta High School in 1954 and attended Hutchinson Community College and Pratt Community College. In 1955, Martha married Darwin Daugherty. They later divorced. On May 25, 1966, she married Robert Magers in Topeka, KS. He died on June 3, 1995. Martha worked for Collingwood Grain in the sales department and retired in 2002. Martha was a volunteer for the VFW and American Legion. She loved gardening, canning, traveling to see her kids and grandchildren and being part of the Hutchinson Community. She was a great listener to anyone who needed someone to talk to. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and the community. She was a member of the American Legion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Robert.

Martha is survived by her two sons, Tony Daugherty and Michael Daugherty; three sisters, Mildred Lillard, Mary Folgers and Rhoda Dye; and four grandchildren, Jessica (Michael) Carroll, Sara Daugherty, Jennifer (Jeffery) Krentel and Brian (Allie) Daugherty; and two great grandchildren, Bear Reed Krentel and Ray Michael Daugherty.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 15, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th St., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Bob Phipps officiating. Memorials may be given to American Legion and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
