Marilyn Kay Castor, 84, our beloved mother went to Heaven on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, KS.   Marilyn was born November 10, 1939, in Kinsley, KS, the daughter of Theodore and Audrey (Morris) McGill.

Marilyn loved her grandchildren and attending their ballgames.  She also enjoyed flower gardening, the Kansas City Royals, drinking her coffee on a nice cool morning, the sunshine and watching birds and butterflies.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Constance Owens.

Marilyn is survived by her two children, Christopher (Amy) Castor and Lisa (Brian) Abernathy both of Hutchinson, KS.; five grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, and Matthew Abernathy, Christian and Colby Castor; and five great grandchildren, Kalyse, Keastin, Kamarie, Aubree and Braxton Abernathy.

A graveside inurnment will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, KS.   Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
