Lynne M. Amey, 73, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Lynne was born on September 17, 1948 to Eugene and Mildred (Van De Hey) Sobieski in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She graduated in 1966 from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, WI and in 1998from Front Range Community College School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.

Lynne was profound in her Christian faith.Shewas a Girl Scout troop leader at Christ the King and a CCD teacher at Church of St. Joseph in Yonkers, New York for several years in the 1970's.Lynne later worked as an RN for the Hospice of St. John in Lakewood, Colorado for nine years. She loved nature and animals. She was alsoa humble supporter of the ASPCA and several wildlife preservation agencies throughout her lifetime.Before becoming a nurse, she talked about becoming a forest ranger but felt it was her calling to care for the sick and dying.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Carol McGaffey.Lynne is survived by her two daughters, Lynnette S. Amey and Veronica L. Amey-Perrin; son in law, Jim Perrin; brother, Michael Sobieski, sister, Mary Humphrey; cousin, Mary Jo Holly, six step-grandchildren, four nephews, and other loved ones.

There will be no public visitation as cremation was chosen.Hutchinson Funeral Chapel & Crematory is handling the arrangements.In this life, Lynne most valued her salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and spending time with her family.
