Hutchinson - Lydia Kathryn Thomas, 87, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. Kathryn was born January 22, 1932 in Baxter Springs, KS, the daughter of Solomon B. and Elizabeth R. (Dyson) Hunley. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Charles W. Hunley, two sisters, Barbara Hunley, Sister Margaret Anne Hunley and a great grandchild. Kathryn is survived by a daughter Ellen Schaefer of Wichita, KS; three sons, Charles Thomas of Texas, Dennis Thomas of Eureka, KS, Richard Thomas of Wichita, KS; fifteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A private celebration of life services will be held by the family at a later date. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hutchinson Animal Shelter and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.
