We celebrate the life of Lori Renee Colley, who passed away from cancer on May 15, 2022 at age 60.

Lori was born in Hutchinson on December 30, 1961. She was the most vibrant person who lit up any room she walked into. Blessed with talent, intelligence, and humor, Lori could always make us laugh. Lori lived in Cedar Rapids Iowa for 17 years and had returned to Hutchinson to be close to family. She worked at the VFW as a bartender. She and her sister and best friend, Cambi, loved to take vacations, have long conversations, and explore different coffee shops.

She is survived by her mother, Mavis Reed; her sister Cambi Colley; a stepfather, Donald Butters; a grandmother, Mauritta Anderson; aunt, Sandra Reed; uncles, Jerry Reed, Jimmy Reed, Larry Colley, Steve Colley, Guy Jamieson and Jim Leatherbury; and cousins, Denise Wheeler Nall, Susan Wheeler, and April Wisecarver. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Colley, her grandma, Verna Colley, aunt Connie Jamieson, and uncle David Reed.

Lori, we will always love you and we will keep your light inside of us forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW, 328 N. Van Buren St., Hutchinson, on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
