Lorene Marie Schmidt (89 years) left this earthly home for her new one on April 27, 2019.

She was born October 3, 1929 northwest of Kinsley, the daughter of Otto Herman and Kathryn Daubert Stach.

She had lived in Kinsley –Greensburg –Pratt –Larned before retiring and moving to Hutchinson in 1988. She had been a nurse aide in Pratt and retired as a Licensed Mental Health Technician at Larned State Hospital.

She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hutchinson since 1988. She had played organ previously at a number of churches in several towns. She knew it was her way to serve her Lord.

Survivors include three sons and wives: Darryl and Judy Schmidt in Eldon, MO; Duane and Carolyn Schmidt of Bend, OR; and David and Michelle Schmidt in Pratt, KS. Lorene had six grandsons, three granddaughters, ten great-grandchildren and her sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt, KS at a later date. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt, KS.
