Lois M. Bowlby, 87, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. She was born May 18, 1934, in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Walter A. and Johanne H. (Nelsen) Freeman. On December 21, 1952, she married Frank E. Bowlby in Eureka Springs, AR, to this union they were blessed with six children, Clifford, Jerry, Clinton, Bruce, Roxane and Frank. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, a brother Walt Stockton, and a sister Helen Cole. Lois is survived by her five sons, Clifford Bowlby, Jerry (Sandy) Bowlby, Clinton Bowlby, Bruce Bowlby and Frank Bowlby; one daughter, Roxane (J.R) Baggarly; twenty-nine grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4th Ave., Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Richard Haley officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Hospice House and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
