Hutchinson – Kenneth W. Symonds – 82, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Pleasant View Home, Inman. Kenneth was born December 22, 1936 in Ramona, OK, the son of Orville and Dorothy (Davis) Symonds. On November 7, 1958 he married Wilma Drake in Oklahoma, to this union they were blessed with three daughters, Vickie, Debbie and Kimmie. Prior to marring Wilma, Kenneth serviced in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1958. Kenneth was a truck driver for almost 42 years driving for Winchester Foods for 30 years until it closed and Rainbow Bakery for 14 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Doyle Symonds and a brother-in-law, Steve Steele. Kenneth is survived by his wife Wilma Symonds of Hutchinson; three daughters, Vickie Markhart, Debbie (Gregg) DeGarmo and Kimmie (Anthony) Beltran all of Hutchinson; a brother, Jimmie (Jackie) Symonds of Hutchinson; a sister, Billie Steele of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Kyrsten Beltran, Olivia Beltran, Emily Beltran, Brandy DeGarmo, Kylie DeGarmo, Daniel DeGarmo, Ben DeGarmo and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Andy Addis officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2019 with family present to greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Parkinson's Foundation and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
