Kenneth "Gene" Eugene Durst past away on Jan. 10, 2018 in Nickerson. He was born on Sept. 7, 1933 to Ralph and Mary May (Fag) Durst in Anderson County, KS.

He married his wife, Charlotte Mathews Durst, on May 27, 1967.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte. His brother Clyde and wife Holly Durst in Independence KS. Hisson Tony and wifeMissy Durst in Connecticut, his daughter Lori Frank and spouse Joe Ruckman. His grandchildren, Dalton Frank and fiancé Chiann Aumiller, Kayla Frank and Katie Ruckman all of Hutchinson.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 at the Nickerson Senior Center with light refreshments.
