Kathleen Dawn Underwood, 60, entered eternal rest on April 8, 2023.   She was born September 28, 1962, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the daughter of Jerry and Nadine Morgan Underwood.

Kathy graduated from Buhler High School in 1980 and received an AA from Hutchinson Community College.   She spent most of her lifetime in Hutchinson, Kansas.  She never missed an opportunity to read a good book.   She was an extremely talented writer and artist.  She enjoyed expanding her social network through online fan clubs.   She was an animal lover, all things Paris, and dedicated fan of Supernatural.

Kathy is survived by her sister, Lynne Underwood of McPherson; her nephew, Dustin (Cheryl) Underwood of McPherson; niece, Alexandra Underwood of Mililani, Hawaii; and fur-baby, Samuel Dean Winchestercat.   She was met at the gates of heaven by her parents; brother, Earl Underwood; best friend, Mary Ann Fast; and numerous aunts and uncles.  She will be missed by all who knew her, not just in Kansas, but all over the country.

Cremation has occurred and a celebration of life will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Crumble Sr. officiating.  The family is asking if any of her distant friends wish to send some words in, they will be read at Kathy's service.  Friends may sign the book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday April 24 ^th through Friday April 28 ^th , at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Public Library or the Hutchinson Animal Shelter in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30 ^th Ave. Hutchinson, KS. 67502.
