Kathleen Ann Krause, 75, passed away on July 25, 2025, at her home in Hutchinson, KS, while surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born October 9, 1949, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Roger and Lois (Han) Whitney.

Kathleen married Andrew Duarte and had one son, Keno.  They later divorced and on May 26, 1983, Kathleen married John Krause.  Kathleen and John shared 42 years of marriage.  Kathleen was loved by everyone who touched her life.  She always had a smile on her face and was kind to all she met.  Kathleen loved animals, especially cats.  She was the cat lady.  Her cats will miss her loving arms.

Kathleen was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church, a member of UMW.  She served as head communion steward, head usher for 1st service, and a volunteer for church and office staff.  She was a CNA for Hutchinson Hospital, proofreader for Polk and a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Lois.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, John; son, Keno Krause; cousins and many friends.

A celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday July 31, 2025, at Faith United Methodist Church, 820 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS.
