Karla G. Bomgardner, 54, went home to be with her Savior on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, IA. She was born October 25, 1963 in Cheyenne Wells, CO, the daughter of Ralph D. and Darlene J. (Bergen) Classen. On June 15, 1985 she married Mark A. Bomgardner in Minneola, KS, to this union they were blessed with three children, Connor, Braedon and Allison. Mark went to be with his Savior on July 27, 2014.

Karla had many hobbies such as painting, doing puzzles, playing tennis and her love of music. She also enjoyed going on vacations and boat cruises but her favorite activity was spending as much time with her family as possible, especially her three children. She is survived by two sons, Connor (Ashlea) Bomgardner of Wichita, Braedon Bomgardner of Manhattan; daughter, Allison Bomgardner of Hutchinson; father, Ralph D. (Ann) Classen of Meade; mother, Darlene Marshall of Minneola; brother, Randall (LeAnn) Classen of Meade; step-brother, Dale (Amy) Loder of Spearville; step-sister, Dena (Travis) Hurley of Joplin, MO; two brothers-in-law, Stephen (Carlyle Sharpe) of Springfield, MO, Rich (Mona) Bomgardner of Wichita; sister-in-law, Stacy (Chris) Pinkerton of Derby; nephews and nieces; Kyle (Brooke Theriault) Bomgardner and son Asher, Kirk Bomgardner, Samuel (Faith) Pinkerton, Oliver, Ethan and Camille Pinkerton, Randsom Classen, Logan Green, Malesa (Brock) Springer and daughters, Abrielle, Karstyn and Lawren, Allana and Blake Loder, Andrea, Nathan, Rebecca and Caleb Hurley and Leah Looney.

A celebration of Karla's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at CrossPoint Church, Hutchinson, with Pastor Andy Addis officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorials may be given to Karla G. Bomgardner Memorial Fund and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
