Kara Kathleen Hatton, 43, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her home in Hutchinson. She was born August 30, 1978 in Newton, KS to LeRoy and Freeda (Fisher) Gilroy.

Kara received her Associates Degree at EC in Oklahoma and was a self-employed photographer. Kara enjoyed helping others and doing hair. On December 21, 2012, she married Steven Hatton in Ada, Oklahoma. She was a member of Free Methodist Church in McPherson.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

Kara is survived by her husband, Steven; three sons, Ian, Nicholas and Brandon Scarbrough; two brothers, Shawn and Christopher Gilroy; three nieces, Angelina, Nicholina and Kiara and one nephew, Christian.

Cremation was chosen. There will be no services held at this time. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice House and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. 67502.
