Julia B. Chastain, 85, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Diversicare of Hutchinson in Hutchinson, KS. Julia was born October 27, 1936, in Paris, TX, the daughter Cleba L. and Nadine (Bramlett) Bridges. On August 18, 1956, Julia married Benny W. Chastain in Texas. He precedes her in death. Julia graduated from Paris High School, Paris, Texas and graduated from Quincy University, Quincy, IL, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. She worked for Phillips Theological Seminary as an executive secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benny; and one sister, Hilda Kay Bridges.
Julia is survived by her two children, Michael (Janet) Chastain and Vicki (Dan) David; two grandchildren, Robert Christopher (Carly) Chastain and Moriah R. (Jake) Bremer; four great grandchildren, Brody Bremer, Ely Uthe, Abbie Bremer and Lane Bremer; and one brother, Joe (Shirley) Bridges.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
