Joyce Marlene (Langrehr) McNitt, 71, died early Sunday morning, September 2, 2018 at the Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born on February 12, 1947 in Great Bend to Martha (Scheibe) and Walter Langrehr. Joyce was raised by Martha and her stepfather, Bob Watts. She graduated from Great Bend High School. She married Kenneth McNitt and lived in Colorado Springs, where her daughter was born. She worked in the office of the Colorado Springs Gazette. Previous to their divorce and his later death, they moved back to Kansas to be nearer family. In the Hutchinson area, she sold health and long term care insurance. Joyce was a fun loving woman, known for her sense of humor and great laugh. In her youth, she was a hula hoop spinner and a rock 'n roll dancer. She enjoyed playing games of all kinds, but was especially fond of the card game, Pitch. She also reveled in going to casinos in Las Vegas. Survivors include one daughter, Shari (McNitt) Brent, Haven; one grandchild, Cassy Brent; one sister, Leona (Lee) Madden, Hays and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, brother, Neal Langrehr and a sister, Margaret Ann Miller. There will be a private family service held.
