Obituary

Johnny Lynn Ford, 64, passed away on October 11, 2026, in Hutchinson, KS. He was born on August 12, 1962, to Charles Kerr and Ruth Ford.

In 1983, Johnny married Martha Valencia. Although their marriage later ended in divorce, they shared a chapter of life that brought family and lasting memories.

Throughout his lifetime, Johnny held many different jobs and was known for his strong work ethic. Of all the jobs he held, he especially enjoyed his time working as an equipment operator at APAC Shears. He took pride in his work and enjoyed operating heavy equipment.

Johnny was a man who appreciated the simple pleasures in life. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying a cold Bud Light, and having his beloved dog, Chester, by his side. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply enjoying the company of those around him, Johnny lived life in his own way. His love for his family and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Johnny is survived by his four children, Shannon Gray (Wardell), Juan Ford, Charles Ford, and Brandon Ford; nine grandchildren, Devon Spiller, D'Angelo Gray, Gia Gray, Sydney Ford, Diego Ford, Elina Ford, Karson Etienne, Ophelia Ford, and Athena Calaoagan. He is also survived by his three siblings, Dennis Redger (Leslie), Sonja Hammer (Russell) and April Nesbitt; Nieces and Nephews, Brandon Meyer, Jeremy Meyer, Lacy Grayson, TJ Cole and Megan Redger; along with many other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Kerr and Ruth Ford; his sister, Hollis Lavonda Cochran; his brothers, Scott Redger and Chuck Kerr; and his nephew, Thorne Redger.

Johnny will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking spirit, and his enjoyment of life's simple moments. Though he is no longer with us, the stories, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
