James (Jim) Robert Cole, 71, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at his home in Benton, KS.

Jim was born February 25, 1948 in Coffeyville, Ks., the son of K.Y and Irene Cole. He attended school in Lenapah, Ok. and Hutchinson, Ks. Jim worked as a printer for several years in Lenexa, Ks. After he moved to Coffeyville, he worked in the foundry, retiring on disability for his lungs. Jim loved his family. He was always joking and would make everyone laugh. He was a character in his own right. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Parsons.

Jim is survived by his brother, Randy Cole of Phoenix Az.; sister, Cathie Showalter of Hutchinson; daughter, Delorah Liden; grandchildren, Taylor Faulkner and Michael Cunningham; and great grandson, Xander; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. A private family Celebration of Life will be held on Friday May 24, 2019 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Rice Park. Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Lung Association or Alzheimer's Association and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
