Hugh Novey Bass, 81, died on April 21, 2018 in Hutchinson, KS. He was born on March 1, 1937 to Noble and Pearl (Hunt) Bass in Hutchinson.

Hugh was the owner and operator of a trucking company. He retired after 56 years of business. Hugh has resided in the Hutchinson community for over 76 years.

Hugh held a membership to the Wheatstate Chapter, Truck Organization.
Preceding him in death are his parents and his wife, Bonnie, seven siblings and one son, Scott Bass.

Survivors include three children, Sam (Taylor) Bass, Marvin (Lona) Bass and Jeanne Bass, all of Hutchinson; two siblings, Gwinnell Nickel and Jack (Margaret) Bass; four grandchildren

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 26th, 2018 from 1:00 -8:00 p.m. with the family greeting guests from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27th, at 1:30 p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Avenue. Harold Wagler will be presiding.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson.
