Herbert Junior Payne, 71, passed away on February 6, 2022, at Hospice House, Hutchinson, KS. Junior was born August 24, 1950 in Enid, OK., the son of Herbert King and Ada Mae Russell.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Emile E. Payne; ex-wife, Tawna Reed; companion, Mary White; brother, Billy Dove; sisters, Barbara Rogers, Dorothy Gene and Matilda Payne.

Survivors include his children, Vernon Payne of Albuquerque, NM, Kanisha Reed, and Jeff (Phylicia) Payne both of Hutchinson; step-son, Brice Reed of Hutchinson; ex-wife, Florence Payne; siblings; Daisy Evans of Denver, CO., Herbaline Prince of Dallas, TX., Terry Lee of Denver, CO., Monica Shaw of Denver, CO., Josephine (Johnnie) Bell of Wichita, KS., Sharon Brown of Atlanta, GA., Earl Payne of Dodge City, and Rose Locke of Denver, CO.; grandchildren, Jametreus Payne, Teyanah Gilley, Carter Payne, Enzly Payne, Khalani Payne, Jaelynn Payne, and Amaya Payne.

There will be no public visitation as cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hutchinson Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
