Harley Dean Meier, 90, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Sunshine Meadows, Buhler, KS.

Harley was born on August 4, 1934, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Harvey and Jette Marie (Buss) Meier.  On July 2, 1954, he married Patricia in Hutchinson, KS, to this union they were blessed with four sons, Artie, David, Mark, Daniel, and one daughter, Julie.

He was preceded death by his parents; wife, Patricia; sister, Violet Strong; brother, Elmer Meier; three sons, David Meier, Mark Meier, Daniel Meier; and one niece, Kim Martin.

Harley is survived by one son, Artie (Teri) Meier; one daughter, Julie Meier; daughter-in- law, Joanna Meier; eight grandchildren, Brandon Meier, Jason Meier, Clint Meier, Ryon Meier, Desiree Penner, Matthew Meier, Ethan Meier, Tad Meier; one sister, Joyce Bliss; brother-in-law, Chet Martin; 16 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS.  Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends 4:00-7:00 p.m.  Burial will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS.  Memorials may be given to Gentiva Hospice or Cancer Council of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
