Grady William Tedder, 79, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at his home in Hutchinson, KS. Grady was born November 6, 1944, in Pratt, KS, the son of Howard C. and Doris M. (Northrop) Tedder.
Grady graduated from Newton High School in 1963. He worked for Kinder Corp. working in the upholstery industry, he worked for New England Trucking for over a year as a truck driver and his last employment was driving a railroad crew around for Rail Crew Xpress. Grady's favorite chapter in his life was working for Spring Lake Resort for over 10 years in maintenance. Grady enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family camping and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Shirley Noyes Tedder; a daughter, Sherrill Buckle; granddaughter, Alice Buckle; sisters and their spouses, Nancy and Bob Bryant, Phyllis and Mike Malcolm; brothers, Cliff Tedder, Barry Tedder and Steven Tedder.
Grady is survived by his girlfriend, Carolyn Starks; daughters, Christine D. (Rick) Rogers, Jeanetta L. Tedder and Melissa (Marc) Wherrell; brothers, Loren H. (Lori) Tedder, Kenneth M. (Cindy) Tedder, and Calvin (Marianne) Tedder; son-in-law, John Buckle; sisters-in-law, Connie Tedder, and Mariann Tedder; grandchildren, Dustin Rogers, Joshua (Ruth) Rogers, Misty Fisher, Brandon Fisher, Cameron Fisher, Grady Nadeau, Arthur (Christina) Buckle and Rachel Buckle; great grandchildren, Aspen (Jeremy) Mitchell, Jamal Stevens, Kaden Stevens, LeAnna Stevens, Amara Wendt, Alice Christine Buckle and Aelin Rogers; and a great- great granddaughter, Elaina Dawn Mitchell.
A celebration of Grady's life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Camp Hawk, 1801 SW 36th St, Newton, KS. Memorials may be given to Caring Hands Humane Society and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
