Gilbert L. Widows, 68, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at his home in Salina, KS.

Gilbert was born July 5, 1954 in Garden City, KS to Gilbert R. and Claradella (Horton) Widows. He graduated from Garden City High School in 1972. On August 15, 1972, Gilbert enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.  He was honorably discharged on August 14, 1975.   Gilbert was a mechanic in the auto industry and was vet tech in the feed lot industry.

Gilbert is survived by his son, Raymond Widows; two sisters, Sue (Michael) Hahn and Joyce Roberts; one brother, Thomas Widows; two granddaughters, Brynne and Sadie Widows; four nieces, two nephews, six great nieces and one great-great niece.

He is preceded by his parents; and two sisters, Jackie Widows and Shellie Belben.

Per Gilberts wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.  Memorial Contributions are suggested to Friends of Sand Sage Bison or Interim Hospice and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30 ^th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
