Gerald "Dray"
Andra King
Jan 23, 1962 — Feb 24, 2023
If you knew my daddy, you were very lucky. He was honest, kind, thoughtful, generous, funny, and a great listener. He always had a smile on his face with a contagious laugh. If you were in his presence, he always made you feel important. My daddy valued his family, friends, and customers that became his friends. His grandchildren and I were his pride and joy; I know we meant the world to him as he did to us. He loved to cook and made the best famous Drays cheesecake. He made them for family, friends, and customers every Christmas, and he would hand deliver them. That is the kind of man he was, a real stand-up guy who worked hard and never complained. He was every kid's uncle Andra and as he got older was just Papa to all the kids. They loved him so much, he knew that the children were our future and he showed dedication, patience, and time to help in any way he could with his Papa's academy teaching math, and writing whatever was needed he loved and enjoyed the kids. My Daddy touched so many lives and will forever be in my heart and will be greatly missed. I will miss our late-night calls and he always knew what to say, he was the only person in the world who understood the things I was going through. We love you always daddy, papa, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
