Francine Kay Babcock, 72, of Hutchinson, KS, died peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025, with her family at her side.  Kay was born April 26, 1952, in Hutchinson, KS, the daughter of Jimmie and Alice Duft.

Kay graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1970 and then graduated from Sidney's Hairdressing College and was a hairdresser for 45 years.  She also enjoyed painting homemade crafts.  Kay married Gary Babcock on July 6, 1970, in Hutchinson.

Survivors include her husband, Gary; daughter, Heather Leigh Redd (John); two grandsons, Dalton (Raven) Redd, Trenton (Grace) Babcock; great granddaughter, Eliza Redd; two brothers, Steve (Babette) Duft, Curtis Duft and a sister, Paula Duft.

Kay is preceded in death by; her parents, Jimmie and Alice Duft.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Reno County and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
