Edith May McLeskey, 80 , died on January 30th, 2018 at the Hutchinson Hospice House. She was born on November 11, 1937 in Kingman, KS to Arthur W. and Ethel F. (Logsdon) Hurd.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1955, and then went on receive her accounting degree from Hutchinson Community College.
On March 20, 1954 she married Richard McLeskey in Hutchinson. He preceded her in death on September 17, 1976.

Edith was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Hutchinson, Delos Senior Center and spent many hours volunteering at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She worked for 24 years in the accounting department with Krause Plow. Most of her lifetime Edith enjoyed tending to her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her spouse, three brothers, Elbert Hurd, Arlan Hurd and Edward Hurd; one grandson, Jarrett McLeskey.

Survivors include her son John L. (Sharon) McLeskey, Wichita ; daughter Georgia A. (Tom) Suter, Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Katie (Clayton) Barth, Molly(Kevin) Stahl, Clayton Suter and Emily Suter( fiancé Montana Danler), all of Wichita; three great grandchildren, Kylee Barth, Austin Barth and Elizabeth Stahl.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.

Burial will take place following the service, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lonestar Cemetery in Pretty Prairie, KS.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice House or Hutchinson Animal Shelter in care of the funeral home at 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.
