Earlene Kay Canfield, 82, passed away on October 9, 2024, in Hutchinson, KS.  She was born November 12, 1941, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Earl and Juanita Barnes.

Earlene was a lifelong resident of Hutchinson.  She held various positions of employment throughout the years.  She was employed most recently by The Sundome Hotel.  She worked at Alco, Doskocil and for the public schools in the food service department.  Earlene attended Hutchinson Public Schools and Adela Hale Business School.  In April 1964, she married Larry Dove, they later divorced.  On November 22, 1967, she married William R. Canfield.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include daughters, Robyn McInturff and Sharon Kelley; sons, David Dove and Wade Canfield.  Her legacy also includes 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Earlene is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Barnes; stepson, William E. Canfield and her granddaughter, Chrystal Hinton

Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2024, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church, 101 E. 1st Ave, Hutchinson, KS.  Funeral service will start at 10:30, after the visitation.   Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, Ks.  Memorial Contributions are suggested to Hutchinson Animal Shelter and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502.
