Dorothy A. Rockey, 89, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, Ks. Dorothy was born October 19, 1929 in Inman, Ks, the daughter of Herman and Katie (Androes) Heidebrecht. She attended Inman Grade School and High School graduating in 1947. She was a printer at Hutch Bag for 44 years and retired in 1993. Dorothy was a member of the Women of the Moose and held most positions on the staff and helped with mailing of bulletins every month. She loved music and played the organ at the moose. On April 24, 1949, she married Raymond C. Rockey in Inman, KS. He passed away March 18, 1983. She was preceded in death by her parents, Katie and Herman; husband Raymond; brothers, Alva Heidebrecht, Marvin Heidebrecht and Harvey Heidebrecht; sisters, Esther Dickinson and Ruby Becker; grandson, David Parker and a son-in-law, Bill Eure. Dorothy is survived by her children; Sharon Eure and Tom Rockey; brothers, Henry (Ann) Heidebrecht and Leo Heidebrecht; and a sister, Erna Dings; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four step- great-grandchildren. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 4:00p.m.–8:00p.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Women of the Moose and sent in care of the funeral chapel. A luncheon will be held at the Moose Lodge, 1401 E. 1st, Hutchinson, KS 67501
